ACTION REQUESTED: Adopt or reject the following resolution: A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CITY PROJECT P21034; SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION 2010 - BASIN 22. ISSUE STATEMENT: The work on this project has been completed by H & J Construction, and final inspection, paperwork and approval has been completed by City Staff. The project is now ready for City Council to formally accept the work. ATTACHMENTS: 1. Resolution DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: This project included the installation of sanitary sewer mains and associated appurtenances as follows: • 4,314.5 lineal feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer lateral stubs • 9,017 lineal feet of 8-inch sewer main • 807 lineal feet of 12-inch sewer main • 148 lineal feet of 18-inch sewer main • 442 lineal feet of 20-inch sewer main • 40 lineal feet of 16-inch pipe bridge • 80 lineal feet of 24-inch storm channel crossing • 20 lineal feet of 42-inch storm channel pipe • 37 sanitary sewer manholes This project has been completed within the set budget for this phase ($1,523,161), with the final cost coming in at $1,496,470.88 consisting of the following: • $1,269,008.88 H & J Construction - Miscellaneous P Staff Costs - $21 • roject Expenses - $14,292.00 • 3,170.00 All work done under this contract has been completed and inspected by the City Engineer and found to be satisfactory. RESOLUTION NO. _______ Acceptance WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield: P21034; SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION 2010 –BASIN 22, and WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract now on file in the City Recorder’s office; and, WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of Springfield. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the contractor involved. 2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor. Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 16th day of July, 2012.
