':-..", ..!;~~. \ , CITY OF SP~ NGFIEL0 BUILDING DEPARTMENT MEMO TO: Pat Teague DATE May 14, 1968 FROM: Joseph Reeves ___For immediate action XXX For your information ___Approval requested ___Note & return to me Remarks SUBJECT: Sidewalk Repairs, 1185 & ,!1Ql Main Street Mr. Raymond Hanson, Owner On November 6, 1967 a registered letter was sent to Mr. Raymond .* Hanson, 950 Mi 11 Street, Owner of 1185 and 1201 Main Street, informing him of the dangerous sidewalks at the above locations, The notice gave Mr. Hanson 14 days to make the necessary repairs. Mr. Hanson's son contacted our office and stated that he would handle the problem. Then a contractor contacted our office for construction information. contacted his. son. 1 imi t of This department, after no further action was taken for repairs, Mr. Hanson at 950 Mill Street. Mr. Hanson stated he would inform On January 8, 1968 we sent another regJJtered letter with a time 5 days. I contacted Mr. Hal Fleck and made a joint inspection and we both agreed to only repair one sidewalk at this time. I then, with Mr. Golden my assistant, contacted Mr. Hanson and informed him of the reduction of re~' pair. He stated that he understood and would see that it was taken care of. On January 18, 1968 it was apparent that no effort was being taken to repair said sidewalk, so in the absence of the City Contractor, a letter was sent to the City Manager and Mr. Fleck was instructed to repair the side- walk and bill the owner; which was done.
