ITEM TITLE: SUSTAINABLE CITY YEAR PROGRAM END OF YEAR SUMMARY

ISSUE
STATEMENT:
City Staff have been working with University of Oregon faculty and students over
the last academic year to complete work on multiple City projects as part of the
Sustainable City Year (SCY) partnership. City Staff, in partnership with University
staff, will present final images and products from a sampling of courses completed
over the length of the partnership.

DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
Staff will present a brief overview of final project and course deliverables
completed over the course of the partnership, including projects wrapping up during
Winter and Spring of 2012. These projects will include;
• Springfield Public Schools Designs
• Springfield Wayfinding System Analysis
• Booth Kelly Designs
• Springfield Greenhouse Gas Inventory
• Legal Review of System Development Charges
This presentation will also include a very brief summary of other courses and
deliverables created during the Fall term.
