On April 2, 2004 a confirmatory exercise was conducted to confirm the reports accuracy and adequacy. From the homogeneous list of building materials established in this exercise, 22 types of materials were sampled and analyzed by an independent laboratory, E.H.S. LLC. The results indicated that asbestos was present in 3 of the flooring materials and Thermal Systems Insulation found in the crawl space under the kitchen and bathroom. The asbestos found in the flooring materials in the kitchen, dining room and hallway amounted to approx. 315 sq. ft The TSI was approx. 18 sq. ft. in total. These materials are required by law be properly abated prior to the demolition of this structure. The structure at this address, following proper abatement of the discovered materials, is considered ready for demolition pursuant to the rules specified in DEQ Division 340-248-0270 and LRAPA's Title 43-015-10-A&B regarding asbestos.
