REQUESTED:
Confirm the appointment of Len Goodwin to the Position of Development
Services/Public Works Director, Effective April 3, 2012.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The City Manager is requesting that the City Council confirm the appointment of
Len Goodwin to the position of Development Services/Public Works Director.

DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
The city of Springfield recently conducted a recruitment process for the newly
created position of Development Services/Public Works Director. Len Goodwin
has been selected to fill the position. Len has approximately 35 years of local
government experience, including 18 years with the city of Springfield. He
currently serves as the Assistant Public Works Director. He is ideally suited to lead
the newly created department and its exceptional employees.
