IMPACT:
Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) analyzed the 2000 Census data for the City
of Springfield and prepared a final boundary map based upon City Council review
and direction. On January 9, 2012, Council adopted an ordinance formalizing the
final ward boundary lines.
The final ward boundary lines were sent to Lane County for the purpose of setting
precincts. Lane County is responsible for setting the precincts for the county for
voting purposes. The precincts are prepared to coincide with the ward boundaries.
Lane County has finalized the precinct lines. The proposed ordinance setting the
precincts by ward has been prepared and is attached for council review and
approval.
