West U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Area Office Cascade Building 520 S.W. 6th Avenue Portland, Oregon 97204 Dea r Ms. ~~es t : At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made a Housing Inspection on March 3, 1983 at the fOllowing locations. The following items were found in need of repair or replacement to conform to the Housing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield. All applicable permits must be obtained and all items shall be installed in accor- dance with applicable Codes and inspected before a Certificate of Compliance will be issued. City Job Number 830557 860 North 23rd Street 1) Extension sleeves shall be installed in all electrical boxes not flush or beyond the finished surface of paneled walls. 2) Where a grounding means does not exist in a receptacle enclosure only nongrounding type of receptacles shall be used as replacement receptacles. 3) All electrical receptacles, switches and junction boxes shall be provided with approved covers or face plates. 4) The bedroom windows shall be made ooenable for emergency egress or rescue. 5) The wall surface of the shower enclosure shall be of water resis- tant material a minimum of 6 inches above the shower head. 6) The clotheswasher drain shall be connected to a separate and in- dependant water seal type trap. 7) Remove the hardware hose clamp on the water pipe adjacent to the hot water tank. 225 North 5th Street · Springfield, Oregon 97477 · 503/726-3753.
