The 1979 Oregon State Building Code, Section 303(d),explains that any building per-
mit for which work is not started within 180 days of issuance, or if work is suspended
for a period of 180 days, the building permit shall expire by limitation and become
null and void. If'conditions beyond your control have prevented you from proceeding
on this,project, please .submit a letter stating the circumstances and if conditions
warrant the Building Official may extend your application ,for a specified period of
time. If this building permit, isallol'{ed to expire, ,it will be necessary to obtain
a new building permit and a permit'fee,amountlng,to one-half of the original permit
fee for such work will be due:
If we do not hear from you within, the next ten days we will assume ,that you have can-
celled this project and we will clear our files of all relgted, material. If you have
any questions concerning this matter call the Springfield Building Division at 726-
