Dear Mr. Gary McClellan:
Your general contractor, Mr. Greg Stallings, requested a letter from the City of
Springfield regarding the capa.city ofthe cui-de. sac drainage system in Janus Street. As
per Mr, Stallings, roof drainage is proposed to drain via a private easement through the
southern side of558 Janus Street to the Janus Street cul-de-sac. City staff reviewed your
original site plan submitted with Building Permit Number COM2002-01308, Based on
the existing residence and proposed garage square footage runoff calculations are 0,16
cubic feet per second for a 4" pipe at 2% grade, During heavy rainfall storm water
should be contained within the cul-de-sac and the addition of storm water should not
cause any detrimental conditions to public infrastructure or private property,
