ITEM TITLE: SUSTAINABLE CITY YEAR FALL TERM SUMMARY

REQUESTED:

ISSUE
STATEMENT:
City Staff have been working with University of Oregon faculty and students to
complete work on multiple City projects as part of the Sustainable City Year (SCY)
partnership. City Staff, in partnership with University staff, will present final
images and products from courses completed during Fall term.

FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
Staff will present a brief overview of final project and course deliverables
completed during the fall term. These projects will include;
• Springfield Public Library Designs
• Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure Accessibility and Connectivity
• Mohawk Area Waremart Site Redevelopment
• Laura Street Analysis
• City of Springfield ‘Adopt a Water-Way’ Outreach
This presentation will also include a very brief summary of those courses and
deliverables anticipated for Winter and Spring terms.
