As these projects are located on the same parcel and will be built at the same time we would like to request a six month extension of the deadline for the plan check process for both job numbers. The reason for our request is financing related_ Due to the uncertainties with the budget for the State of Oregon, and in particular the Medicaid funding for senior housing, the process of obtaining financing on projects such as this one has become niore difficult- In addition, just the overall uncertainties in the economy over the past 1-2 years have increased the lending industry's apprehension iti lending on these types of projects. However, over the past 4-6 months we have noticed that lenders are more motivated to lend in the senior hou~ing sector and we are confident that we will obtain financing for these projects and b~gin construction by the end of 2003. n/L Michael Deines Sunwest Management, Inc
