Gentlemen:
In '1978 I purchased the property at 4380 Aster in Springfield. rn
addition to the main house there Has a small I..about 575 square feet) building
at the rear of the ,~ot suitable for occupanc,y.by one person.
This unit was occupied by IllY' daughter and the main house was rented to
friends of hers.She- is no longer working in the.' area and I am trying to sell
the' property. It appears that I must rent it until market conditions improve
and I can sell it.
I Wquld 1 ike to have a separate meter put on the small building so
each unit can pay its own electric bill. The Springfield Utility Board
asked for verification from the City of Springfield. ~ndicating that the lot
is allowed multiple housing.
An inquiry to you earlier indicat'ed, the property is in IISuburban Residentialll
zoning. They-e seems to be some variance to ~the single home occupancy as there is
a wholesale plumbing ~upply storage yard adjacent to my rear property line.
'l'here, are dup;Lexeltl homes in the same block. 1 would appr~ciate some clarification.
The lot is approximately 70 x 125 feet. I do not know what arrangements, if aIry,
were made by the original Oimer.
Thank you for your consideration. It would make it easier to rent or sell
vnth individual meters on each dwelling.
