Subject: Fire Damage Inspection at ~ Quinalt Street, Springfield, Oregon.
City Job #880214
At the request of the Springfield Fire and Life Safety Department, the
Building Safety Division recently conducted an inspection of the fire
damage at the above address. The inspection revealed damage which must be
corrected in order for the building to comply with applicable City
Building Safety Codes. The following items must be repaired or replaced:
Electrical
1. Replace all burned and/or heat damaged wire and electrical devices
including:
A. The electric wall heater
B. The air conditioner unit
C. The dining room light fixture
2. Other items which shall be repaired or replaced are as follows:
A. A defective switch in the living room
B. A defective receptacle near the air conditioner
C. The pack door outside light fixture
D. Two broken breakers in the electrical panel
E. An operable smoke detector shall be provided
F. Control knobs for all heaters shall be provided
G. The wiring in the garage supplied by the cord cap shall be wired
in an approved manner or removed
Building permits must be obtained for the above items I.hich involve
repairs or modifications to the electrical system of the building and for
any additions or revisions you wish to malle to the building.

A licensed, electrical contractor is required for all new wor]{ and
substantial alterations to existing structures which are for sale, lease
or rent. However, work on alterations to and replacement of parts for
electrical devices which is necessary for maintenance of approved existing
electrical installations may be done by the.owner of the property.
The above items shall be replaced or repaired and reinspect ion request
made within thirty (30) days of this letter.
