Dear Mr. Roberts:
Your property at 684 West Quinalt is in violation of the Springfield City Code
and/or Ordinances. Rather than issuing a citation or taking immediate legal
action, it is the City's standard practice to inform citizens of the violation'
and request that it be corrected within a reasonable time.
The attached form specifies the violation, the corrections necessary in order to
comply with the applicable Code/Ordinance and the date by which your corrective
action must be completed.
The City appreciates your anticipated courtesy and cooperation. If you have any
questions regarding this letter, the violation or the required correction, please
contact the Springfield Planning and Development Department (726-3753).
In the event that you have not taken corrective action by 'August 16, 1986
this matter will be referred to the City Attorney's Office for further action.

LOCATION:
SPECIFIC VIOLATION: Section' 4-2-6, 4-2-9 and 5-1-1 (3)(a) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Springfield regarding improper storage of household garbage.
Raw household garbage was observed inside the structure. The residence is also
open and accessible in violation of Section 401 (b) of the Springfield Building
Safety Code. The outside door was open and the lock broken.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: The improper storage and disposal of household waste
creates a potential public health hazard. The Municipal Code of the City of
Springfield requires that household garbage must be stored in covered containers
and removed once a week to prevent offensive odors and unsightly conditions.'
The house must be made inaccessible if it is to remain vacant.
DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE:
August 16, 1986.
