Thank you for keeping the record opel') for written comments regarding his application's hearing. I would like to add this written statement to my 'Ie al testimony of April 28, 2004. I was reminded after the hearing that a great many of the homes in the icinity of the quarry do not have the traditional solid concrete foundations. Of the 43 existing dwellings, 140 of them are ma~ufactured homes. Of these, approximately 28 are set upon adjustable jaCk stands while the majority re resting on stacked concrete blocks shirhmed with wooden wedges for st bility. To the best of my, knowledge, only one bf these homes has any sort of s ismic;: bracing. Accordingly, it is my feeling that the majority of the homes here are mar susceptible to seismic shock than traditional site-built dwellings with thei solid found;ltinn,:;: I
