Jim. I called and checked on Mr. Jerimiah certificate, he does have one with the State Fire Marshal's Office. It expires sometime in 2005. Also, since I don't know a thing about blasting, I have some questions. Do you know much about it, or should I call Mr. Jerimiah? I have not read everything yet, so the answers may be there and I haven't found them yet. I will read first, but in case I don't und~rstand something. I am going to ask that Joe Wicks and I can be on site at least at the beginning of the blasting. Have a great weekend!! Kristina Kristina L. I Thank you for passing along Me Shelby's letter regarding his concerns !that manufactured homes are Illore susceptible to damage from ground movement !]lan conventionally built wood framed h~mes. This premise is not correct. As a matter of fact, exactly the opposite is the case. The steel support members that underlie : manufactured homes is much stronger and more elastic than conventionally coristructed foundation and bcam supports. Manufactured homes are designed to withstand:highway travel with all the attendant jolts and vibration without damage. Also, wall and!ceiling material in manufactured homes also are typically lighter and stronger than thoqe used in conventional wood frame homes and as a result are less susceptible to damage jrom vibration. i Dear Mike, Respectfully, I , Our blast design is based on causing no damage to lath and plaster interiors whieh represent the least strong interior construction. I have a high confidence that th~re will be no structural damage to any homes in the kea as a result our blasting. i I I ! Dick Daniel /l , fI ~ _ _r._ /.1
