Re: Preblast Surveys. MountainGu(e Project, Springtield, OR.
Dear Kris,
Attached is a tabulation of residential pre blast surveys and personal visits mad last week
and on Monday of this week in connection with the MountainGate Project- TI e list
covers all the homes delineated as within the distances a5 laid out in the Sprin leld
administrative ruling. I was very plea~ed at the friendly and courte.aus recepti I
received when making the inspections;and visits. The residents were all very i terested in
the impacts of the project and did not hesitate to express their feelings. I took
considerable time in going over the safety aspects of the blasting and in assurin the
neighbors they were in no physical datJger.
I
Unless the neighbors have changed their thinking since I talked to them, I feel uite
certain they are reconciled to the project. An awful lot of them wanted to talk, ot about
blasting, but the possibility of rattle sn'akes invading their area. This I told the I was not
likely.
[am having the individual inspection reports copied and the photos developed. These will
be forwarded to you before the end of , the week. The homeowners will receive copies of
their indi\lidual inspections and phalos taken about the same time.
I very much appreciate your help in the above task. I would particularly like tJ thank Geri
Betz and Mike Evans of Land Plannillg Consultants. Their help was invaluab~.
Respectfully I
dick daniel
