Molly, thank you for your quick response. Before I go further: I like your first name;
it's the same as our grandqaughter who is almost 10 and lives in Seattle with our son,
Dan, and his wife.
I would like to get together to learn what I missed in your meeting yesterday. Probably
the sooner, the better - even tomorrow (Friday, 9 September) afternoon if that might fit
into your schedule. Of course, it's OK to have John with us but at this point, the most
important thing is that I catch up in the simplest and soonest way.
I guess that's enough for now. Feel welcome to call either of my phones if that works
better for a quick decision than e-mail.
Thanks again - also for the information regarding the documents that you plan to get on
your website. I look forward to meeting with you soon.

Thanks for contacting,me. I'd be happy to get together with you to go over Springfield's
current proposed plans for the Glenwood Riverfront, and I'm sure John T. would like to
join us (I passed on your 'regards to him today) .

Among other things that I'm sure are of interest to you in the Plan related to land use,
riparian protections, etc., I encourage you to check out the Historic and Cultural
Resources Chapter since your residential property on N. Brooklyn has been identified as
being potentially eligible for the National Register. For your's and other similarly
identified properties, the Plan recommends moving the structure if on site preservation
does not make sense for your future plans (as was done with a number of resources in the
Gateway area when the campus industrial area was redeveloped), along with several other
recommendations.
In terms of scheduling a meeting time, please let me know what your availability is for
the next couple of weeks, and I can try to set something up given my and John T. 's
schedules. Looking forward to meeting you.

Dear Ms. Markarian,
I am sorry that neither my wife, Christa, nor myself were able to attend the meeting the
Springfield Planning Commission had yesterday on the Glenwood Refinement Plan. We both
had different previous commitments yesterday afternoon that we could not break.
I did just take a brief look at the rather complete article that Christian Wihtol prepared
for today's Register-Guard and looked at the website given there:

That is 'also how I got your e-mail address to make t~is contact possible. I suppose you
know that we are the owners of the two properties at the extreme north end of Brooklyn
Avenue (postal addresses 325 North Brooklyn Ave. and 295 North Brooklyn Ave.) bordering
the Willamette in Glenwood wherein the pipe organ building shop (red steel building)
operated until I retired in 2005. You also may know that we had close connections with
John Tamulonis when he was in charge of the initial planning for Glenwood soon after it
was decided that Glenwood would become part of Springfield in the late 1990s. You can
talk with John if you don't know more about our connections in Glenwood.
Beyond thie above introduction, I wonder if you may have a more formal outline on what you
discussed yesterday and anything else that is available to the public for Springfield's
plans for Glenwood. In particular, I wondei if the 149 page draft mentioned in the .
Register-Guard article is available either in print or online in case it gives any current
definitive information.

I am specifically working on several different options on how we might eventually sell our
property at both Glenwood addresses, so the imore I know about what Springfield's plans
are, the better. I am generally at home in :Eugene, though not always as was~h cise
