RESOLUTION NO. 02-25
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRELIMINARY LIST OF NODE SITES FOR
FURTHER STUDY AND PLANNING DESIGN.
WHEREAS, The Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission Order #
01- LCDC-024, dated May 8, 2001, provides that Springfield "specify specific areas for
nodal development;" and
WHEREAS, The City of Springfield is engaged in a process to identify and specify areas
for nodal development; and
WHEREAS, The City of Springfield has conducted an initial analysis of the sites shown
on the TransPlan map of "Potential Nodal Development Areas;" and
WHEREAS, The Springfield Planning Commission reviewed the analysis of the
potential sites on April 15, 2002 and made recommendations for a list of preliminary
node sites; and
.
WHEREAS, The Citizen and Technical Advisory Committees for the Node Site
Selection Project reviewed the analysis of the potential node sites on April 18, 2002 and
made recommendations for a list of preliminary node sites; and .
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Springfield reviewed the analysis of
the potential node sites on April 22, 2002 and made recommendations for a list of
preliminary node sites.
NOW THEREFORE THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby select the
following general sites from the TransPlan map of Potential Nodal Development Areas
for further analysis of suitability for nodal development and nodal overlay zoning:
1. 7B Gateway/Beltline
2. 8A Glenwood
3; 8B Downtown Springfield
4. 9A Mohawk
5. 9H Natron North
6. 9J Natron South

Section 2. This selection for further analysis of suitability for nodal development and
nodal overlay zoning does not affect the zoning or implement standards for nodal
development of the preliminary sites designated.
Section 3. Upon completion of this further analysis the Council will make a final
determination concerning the suitability of designating all or part of these preliminary
sites for nodal development and nodal overlay zoning.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect upon the passage by the Council and approval
by the Mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 6th day of May, 2002,
by a vote of ---6....-for and-D- against.
