SUBJECT: Thelin Pellet Stove Clean Out
Dear Mr, Beck,
This letter is to clarify that portion of the Thelin Co, Owner's Manual that states a
Tee with clean out cap is necessary when installing into an existing chimney. This
requirement is so that maintenance can be performed in a timely manner where pellet
ash, do to the quality ofthe pellets, accumulates rapidly, Thelin Co. has no objection to a
90 degree elbow being used providing there is access to the chimney from the top or
bottom in order that periodic cleaning can be done, With a good quality pellet this might
have to be done only once or twice a year, In fact, it would be better to use the 90 degree
elbow and not have an extended horizontal piece if the stove has to set out on,the hearth.
Additionally, the Thelin Parlour stoves have a unique "clean" mode that allows the user
to increase the fan speed during routine maintenance and clean out the pipe mechanically
using the built in fan technology,
You are welcome to call if you have any questions.
'Sincerely,
Jay L. Thelin
President
