The re-zoning to a City of Springfiela classification was occasionea by the
aaoption of an Inter Governmental Agreement (IGA) between Lane County ana the City
of Springfield. The IGA officially transferrea all planning ana building authority
to Springfield and required a concurrent City zoning classification, consistent
with the Metro Plan diagram, for all lana within the Urban Growth Boundary.
The present LDR/UF-10 zoning allows a single dwelling unit per lot (excluding
mobile homes), regaraless of the size of the lot. Before the City will authorize a
Duilding permit the owner must sign an annexation agreement and must receive
approval from the County Sanitarian for an on-site sewage system.
