Lisa here is a copy of my pluming contractors letter and ccb# , 22285 Ted Crane from,
Crane plumbing Co.
I have had the rePairs to the upstairs master bath lavatory vent ng completed and have
ensured that the mastet bath shower unit is full of water for ins'1ection also.
However I question the 2" trap and trap ann that is recornmen~ed to comply with 3502,1
IOTFDC. I Believe that this is a new code that went into effect'after I submitted and,
,obtained permits. I may be wrong and if so I apologize ahead 0 f time, but I believe that
this code went into effect on 01/01/2001. My permits were issl\ed on 10/16/0 1 and afthat
time this was not in effect. I also believe that this code is in refl:rence to a multi person or
public whirlpool unit. My tube unit was plumbed for a soaker t~be and I upgraded to a
single person whirlpool tub at the last moment after this was plumbed. 1 can make the ,
change to the 2" trap and trap arm if absolutely needed, but I \Ii Duld like to wait Until Ted
from Crane Plumbing Co. returns On Monday the 16"'. I possibe I would still like to
insulate and sheetrOck this home staning Friday the 13th today. I cannot wait to order
materials, and there is no time to waist for me in this situation.!Y our expedited response
would be greatly appreciated. I only need to pass the plumbing! inspection to continue ,
onto insulation. Due to delays on 07/12/01 I will need to have my insulation inspection
completed as soon as the insulation is complete. If possibie I \Ii ould request that the
plumbing inspector is fully aware of my dissatisfaction with is demeanor towards myself
at my last inspection. Jfhe would have properly filled out a eOl recti on sheet, valuable
time could have been saved, I do not wish him to be repriman("cd, only that he is aware
that e.very situation is not right out ofa book and sometime a Nore unconventional
solution may be warranted to help keep a positive relationship with the people he is
'working for.
