RE: Request for Final Inspection due date extension

Dear Mr. Puent,
If my calculations are correct, I am due for Final Inspection, the last week of January,
2006. It is apparent that I will not be completed with this project by this date for various
reasons. Therefore, I am requesting a 180 day extension for Final Inspection, for the
following:

I. I am performing this work by myself. Because I am not a licensed contractor (the
project site is my home), I have some limited experience. This has required much
research and the learning of new skills in some aspects of the project.
2. I have met all previous inspection deadlines.
3. During this past year, I have had significant health problems which have slowed
the progress of this project.
4. My father-in-law had a heart attack, with subsequent heart sutgery, this spring.
This required a refocus of my work efforts to assist him on his property, including
the preparation of property they owned for a pending sale.
5. For all practical purposes, I am in the finish work phase of the project which
entails detailed work that seems to be more time consuming.
I would greatly appreciate any consideration you can give in granting this extension.
