RE: Lot 98 Levi Landing - Site/Soils Investigation -W.O. # 14560-1-3-RDR
As you requested, a site/soils investigation was performed on this lot on May 8,2002. Design for
the site is as follows: '
All unsuitable fill, vegetation, and unbulldable material have been removed to native grade. The
native soil Is a silty-clay loam wit~ a Unified Soils Classification of ML and a plasticity index of less
than 20. The expansiveness of the soil is low (after Holtz 1959). A maximum 4" of crusned rock
sho,uld be installed with tracked excavation equipment to protect the proposed building site ih the
event of inclement weather. No extraordinary drainage or compaction is required for treatment of
expansive soils at this site. '
On May 10, 2002, a compaction inspection was preformed after fill placement. The compacted
surface of the 1 V2 ~ minus crushed rock is adequate for a foundation bearing capacity of 1500 psf.
