Description
DonsDecll- Roof Boerd is an exceptioool fire barrier, thermal barrier, coverboard
and recovery board used in various commercial roofing systems. The Dens Deck
Roof Board design employs fiberglass mats front and back that are mechanically
bonded to a high density gypsum COTe, providing excellent fire resistaoce and
wind uplift properties. The unique coos1ruction of DensDeck Roof Board provides
superior flute spanning that stiffens and provides increased foot traffic resistance
to the roof deck. Addilionally, DensDeck Roof Board has been shown to withstand
delamination. deterioration and job-site damage far mOfe effectively than roofing
membrane substrates such as paperfaced gypsum board, fiberboard and perlile
insulation. DensDeck Roof Board is highly resistant to the growth of mold when
tested, as manufactured, per ASTM 0 3273.
Primary Uses
Reof syslem lTllIlUfaCllJrers and designers have found DensDeck Roof Boar1l to be
c~i~ewilh many types of roofing sys1ems, including: buih,up, modified billJTlell,

1'2.7""'1 and 5/lf' (15.9 mm) DensOed< Roof Board may .Iso be used in vertical
applications as a backer board or liner for the roof side of parapet walls.
Some membrane manufacturers have hot mop 8slt1alt ortolth applications directly
to DensDeck Roof Board without using a primer or base sheet. Consult with the
system mallIfacturer for their recorrrner.dations with this applicatioo. DensDeck
Roof Board is the preferred substrate for vapor retarders.
