Dear David,
Recently I was informed that my building permit was going to expire if I did not pay additional fees.
I do not understand how this can be.
The permit was issued March 22, 1995 for some remodeling being done to the upstairs area of my
house. The on)y inspection was last May when I had some electrical work done. I have been
working on the remodel on a regular basis. but the work is not ready for additional inspections. I
was told that I could do all the rough work then call for an inspection.
Of all the papers received when the permit was issued only one statement references expiration
of a permit. On the electrical permit application it states:
"Permits are non.transferable and expire if work is not started within 180 days of issuance or if
work is suspended for 180 days"
As far as I can tell I have met these requirements. I expect to call for the next inspections
sometime towards the end of June.
Please let me know as soon as possible what is required for this permit to remain valid. At this
time I have alot of time and money tied up in this project.
Thank you,
