Dear Mr. Decaro:
In response to a request from the Springfield Fire Department, an electrical
safety inspection was conducted at the above address. During this inspection
the following items were found to be in violation of the Building Safety Code.
We are requesting that action be taken to correct or eliminate these hazardous
conditions within 30 days of this notice.
1. Remove lamp cord wiring used as permanent wiring.
2. Install all splices in approved junction boxes.
3. Install by approved methods, boxes and receptacles for cord connected
electric discharge (florescent) lighting fixtures.
The Oregon Electrical Safety Law Section 22-110 (b) states electrical work
performed on property that is for rent, sale or lease, shall be done by an
Electrical Contractor.
