Dear Mr. Gulick
In going through our files we came across a building permit fer:
A furniture store, Building Job #800019, located at 1186 Gateway Loop
The permit was issued on . January 31, 1980
The 1979 Oregon State Building Code, Section 303 (4), explains that any building permit
for which work is not started within 180 days of issuance, or if work is suspended for
a period of 180 days, the building permit shall expire by limitation and become null and
void. If conditions beyond your control have prevented you from proceeding on this pro-
ject, please submit a letter stating the circumstances and if conditions warrant the
Building Official may extend your application for a specified period of time. It this
building permit is allowed to expire, it will be necessary to obtain a new building per-
mit and a permit fee amounting to one-half of the original permit fee for such work will
be due.
If we do not hear from you within the next ten days we will assume that you have cancelled
this proj ect and we will clear our files' of all related material. If you have any questions
concerning this matter, please call the Springfield Building Division at 726-3753.
