Dear Manager:
I've recently observed a directional sign for Grantree Furniture located
in the public right-of-way, on the south side of Gateway Loop. No private
sign is allowed on public property. Furthermore, this sign is in violation
of the Gateway Plan which requires a 20. foot setback from the street'right-
of-way line for all signs. The sign must be removed within 24 hours from
receipt of this letter.
Section 31.14 of the Springfield Comprehensive Zoning Code permits direc-
tional signs with the permission of the Building Division. Please contact
the Building..Division at 726-3753 for details regarding the requirements
of these signs.
