>Staff does not support piping the generator enclosure drainage to the outside wall and allowing it to drain across the
sidewalk and parking lot. I would encourage you to discuss the stormwater drainage details with the City's Public Works
Engineer for this >project, Clayton McEachern
I have discussed the matter with Andy limbird (the assigned planner) and the proposed drainage pathway across the
parking lot is acceptable, with the following conditions:
1. The drain pipe from the enclosure to the curb face must be equipped with a shutoff valve that is closed during
refueling/servicing or testing of the generator, with an attached sign that states this (we can provide an example
if necessary)
2. The drain pipe cannot discharge across the sidewalk adjacent to the generator structure, but must go under the
sidewalk and discharge onto the parking lot via a weep hole in the curb face
