Traffic continuing west on the mall loop road is supposed to be in the right-hand lane and deflect around a newly'installed landscaping area. Michael suggested that the mall management should apply white skip-striping for the westbound through lane only (the right-hand lane shown in the foreground of the attached picture). However, the project engineer has shown skip-striping for other lanes too. In my opinion striping the yellow centerlines could be too confusing and unnecessary for this private 3-way intersection, but I'm not a traffic guy. Any thoughts? My understanding of the striping request is that only the white skip-striping is required for the westbound through lane (shown as the right-hand lane in the foreground ofthe picture). There is no need or desire to have the centerline yellow skip-striping delineated through the intersection as well. I hope this clarifies the recommendation and please let me know if you have any questions. Prior to the store opening on May 5th there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the store with essentially will close. off traffic and access to the ADA parking stalls in front of the store. As soon as the event opens and the store is officially open it will take about Yo hour to clear the area and the ADA parking stalls will then be accessible. Is there any requirement for us to provide temporary ADA parking during this time, albeit a very short window of time? Please let me know what the city's take would be on this.
