RE: 019 Cabela's I Emergency Generator OK thanks Amy, I'll let them know. If they have specific DWP questions I'll have them contact you directly. Staff will also suggest using a propane or natural gas powered turbine generator for the site, which would address most of the DWP and stormwater concerns. Plus, they wouldn't have to refill the generator with "fresh" diesel periodically as they would with this proposed design. Andy From: CHINm Amy C. They will need to show plans for secondary containment of diesel fuel and other associated chemicals (e.g., antifreeze). The last application to propose secondary containment for the entire unit was Springfield Dialysis. They had a good proposal, though they don't actually have a generator in place (and they also did not pour a continuous concrete slab, which would need to be modified if they ever did actually install a generator). This feature was not shown on the approved Final Site Plan for the project. Please review the manufacturer cutsheets and advise if the proposed style and location of generator can be accommodated. The applicant advises that secondary containment should be built-in to the generator design. However, because the presence of a diesel-fueled generator was not contemplated in the Drinking Water Protection review for this site, please let me know if this triggers the requirement for a DWP permit.
