Once w~ have a new plan, I can send it out again for Springfield staff to review. We will make sure there is no negative effect on exit discharge and accessible routes. These landscaping areas were not shown on the minor site plan modification currently in circulation. Planning does not object to this proposed enhancement, but please let me know if this additional landscaping creates any issues or concerns for your department. I am particularly concerned about ensuring appropriate fire access is maintained for the structure if trees are planted between the north side of the building and the loading dock. However, this might not be an issue if the other two building exposures are unobstructed. I will relay your responses to the applicant for their consideration. Thanks! This is more of heads up than anything but if they are going to be putting in something like Doug firs that might get really tall they should probably make , sure it, is ok with the mall maintenance crews (which I would think a company like Cabelas would already be doing). 0'. . 1 M ----- r1g1na essage----- From: L:IMBIRD Andrew " Sent: Monday, August 23, 2010 5:08 PM To: GORDON Gilbert; KAUFMAN Kip; MCEACHERN Clayton; JONES Jesse Subjed:: FW: Cabela' s - added landscaping proposal FYI - The applicant is proposing to add new planting areas around the perimeter of the , Cabela'ls store as shown on the attached diagram.
