RE: landscaping Changes
HiAnn,
Jim Donovan has approved your proposed modification to the planting plan as described below. I will make the changes
by hand on the Final Site Plan and he will initial those changes on the Final Site Plan. Please review the language below
to make sure it accurately conveys what will be planted for anyone who refers to the Final Site Plan (by the way, I think it
is the north side as opposed to the south side, right?). Thanks.
On Sheet LA-3, I will note next to the 'Plant Schedule' that: 'Applicant will plant a single row of 24"-tall shrubs directly
against the wall of the trash enclosure and against the building wall on the north side of the northern-most apartment
building between the parking and living areas. All other shrub locations will be planted with five-gallon Shrubs.'

Molly-
Per our conversation last week about the shrub heights...... I met with our landscape architect and their understanding is
that per the code all shrubbery is required to be 24" in height at time of planting - not just the screening between the
parking and the living area windows and the trash enclosure. (See SDC 3.2-240 D 6a). One option for us to reduce cost
is to replace more of our shrubbery with ground cover..... not an option we want to pursue.
We'd like to propose a single row of 24 tall shrubs directly against the wall of the trash enclosure and building wall on the
south side bit parkin9' and livin9 areas with the rest being typical 5 gallon size.
If this is acceptable, will modify our bid/permit documents via supplemental information package. Would you need revised
SR landscape plan as well?
