Map and Tax Lac Number 17-03-22-41/05000 ' Dear Ms. Bussear: This letter is a revision to the determination on the status of the second dwelling unit on the above refetenced properry I sent you on June I 2. 2003. This properry is locaced in Springfield's urban fringe area. This means that the properry is located. outside of the city limits. but inside the urban growth boundaty. In 1987 Lane County transferred jurisdictional control over the urban fringe area to Springfield. At the time 1 wrote the initial letter to you. 1 was unaware rhat rhe secondaty dwelling unit was built prior to 1987. Since this urnt was established under Lane County's jurisdiction. it is now . considered a non-conforming use. However, upon annexation the unit may qualiry as an accessory dwelling unit as described in Section 16.120 of the Springfield Development Code. In that case, the unit would be an allowable use in the Low Density Residential District. - 1 apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that this may have caused.
