8.240 Residential District Sign
Standards.
The following sign standards have
been established for residential
districts.
(I) Home Occupation. Each single
family or duplex dwelling unit that
has received development approval
for home occupation shall be
allowed one non-illuminated wall
sign of not more than 1.5 square
feet.
(2) Multi-Family, Mobile Home
Parks, Day Care Facilities,
Subdivisions, Group Care Living
Facilities, and Bed and Breakfast
Facilities. Each group living
situation, multiple family dwelling
complex, bed and breakfast facility,
including a mobile home park, shall
be allowed one wall sign or
free-standing sign at each public
vehicular entrance of not more than
eight square feet for one face, or 16
square feet for two or more faces.
The maximum height for free
standing signs shall be five feet
above grade. The maximum height
for wall signs shall be 20 feet above
grade, provided that in no case sball
a wall sign extend above the buildin!
wall. Internally illuminated signs
shall be probibiled.
(3) Non-Residential Professional
Offices. Each approved developmenl
area shall be limited to one free
standing sign. The sign shall be a
maximum of 16 square feet for one
face and 32 square feet for two or

eight feet above grade. Each
detached building shall be permitted
one wall sign not to exceed eight

shall be a maximum of 32 square
feet for one face and 64 square feet
for two or more faces. Free-standing
signs or wall signs shall not be more
than eight feet above grade. Each
detached building shall be permitted
one wall sign not to exceed eight
square feet. Neon signs are
prohibited. [Section 8.240 amended
by Ordinance No. 6008, enacted
Marcb 18, 2002.)
To Request an inspection call the 24 hour recording at 726-3769. All inspection requested before 7:00 a.m.
will be made the same working day, inspections requested after 7:00 a.m. will be made the following work
day.

that NO OCCUPANCY will be made of any structure without permission of the Community Services Division, Building Safety.
I further certify that only contractors and employees who are in compliance with ORS 701.005 will be used on this project.
I further agree to ensure that all required inspections are requested at the proper time, that each address is readable from the
street, that the permit card is located at the front of the property, and the approved set of plans will remain on the site at all
