Inspection of: Wedge Anchors Weather: Inside Continuous Inspection: 0
Contractor: Jeff Belnap Construction, LLC BPNo.: 800SPR2011-319 Periodic Inspection: 0
Observed the installation of four (4) 1i2" x 5 1/2" Hillman wedge anchors for column
base plate to concrete connection, two (2) anchors per column. Manufacturer's
installation instructions were not available for review. Contractor installed and tightened
anchors to an arbitrary torque value of 40 flIlbs. which was verified with a calibrated
torque wrench. Two (2) anchors, one (1) at each base plate are within :t3/4" of an
expansion joint. One (1) anchor on west side of south column would not tighten to 40
flIlbs. EOR approval is needed for as-built conditions.
To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected was in accordance with plans dated
02-28-11 and applicable workmanship provisions of the I.B.C., except if noted above.
