MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL REGULAR MEETING OF
THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL HELD
MONDAY, JUNE 14,2004
The city of Springfield council met in special regular session in the Jesse Maine Room, 225 Fifth
Street, Springfield, Oregon, on Monday, June 14 at 7:08 p.m., with Mayor Leiken presiding.
ATTENDANCE
Present were Mayor Leiken, City Councilors Fitch, Woodrow, Lundberg, and Ralston, Also
present were Assistant City Manager Cynthia Pappas, City Attorney Joe Leahy, City Recorder
Amy Sowa, and members of the staff.
Absent: Councilor Ballew (excused)
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Approve the May 18, 2004 Primary Election Report of Board of Canvassers and
Proclamation for Springfield Mayor and City Council Positions for Ward 1, Ward 3, Ward 4
and Ward 6.

City Attorney Joe Leahy presented the staff report on this item. The City Attorney has forwarded
for City Council approval, the Report of Board of Canvassers and Proclamation for the May 18,
2004 Primary Election for the election of Springfield Mayor and Springfield City Council
positions for Ward 1, Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward 6.
IT WAS MOVED BY COUNCILOR FITCH WITH A SECOND BY COUNCILOR
WOODROW TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR. THE MOTION PASSED WITH
A VOTE OF 4 FOR AND 0 AGAINST (1 ABSENT - Ballew).
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
