Ladies and Gentlemen,
The attached .pdf indicates the Glenwood Bridge annexation filing was receipted and filed in the Secretary of State's office this
morning (7/10108 @09:33). Thank you to Brenda Jones and Paula Taylor for expeditious preparation and mailing of the package.
They may review our first filing and ask for additional or revised info, but I believe you can consider the action "filed" for statutory
purposes.
It is this planner's opinion that the property is legally annexed to the City of Springfield and we have law enforcement jurisdiction.

Subject: Effective Date of Glenwood Annexation
Jerry,
I checked with Bill VanVactor just now on the effective date of the Glenwood annexation ordinance. He agreed that the Council
. enacted the ordinance last night but the effective date is as specified in ORS 222.180: "complete from the date of filing with the
Secretary of State." This means that the City of Springfield will not have jurisdiction until that occurs. We will be sending this
information to the Secretary of State by tomorrow (7/9/08) and expect confirmation of receipt by the end of this week. We will let
you know as soon as we receive this confirmation.
