Comments All bolts were installed to snug tight condition and erector proceeded to match mark. After match
marking was complete. inspection was made of a sample of bolts to verify matchl mark placement. Inspection was
concluded at this point. Also, observed pre-installation verification of pre-terJsioned high strength bolts
using tum-of-the-nut method with match-marking. Bolts tested were A325 size 'j," x 2 y,". Three bolts.
were installed and tightened in a Skidmore-Wilhelm model MZ. All bolts I were turned 1/3 nominal turn
and all met minimum tension requirements per AISC specifications. Gen~ral contractor provided us
with a new erection drawing set dated I 13/]1 which he stated was to super~ede the previous set dated
III2/10. He pointed out that several of the bolt sizes at the ioints requirin~ special inspection had
changed. As we had previouslv done a pre-installation verification on all sizes except the 'j," x 2 \1,",
this size was verified today. It was also noted that the 7/8" A325 bolts welhad previously verified (see
BEl report of 2- 16-] I) were actually 3" long -- not 2 'j," long as stated in that report. Erector was asked
to notify our office for additional inspection after turn-of-the-nut has been 'completed,
