NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Springfield City Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Springfield City Council will conduct a public hearing on the following:
An Ordinance Amending the Springfield Development Code Sections 3.2-210; 3.2-215; 3.2-235; 3.2-440; 3.2-610; 3.2-
715; 3.3-205; 3.3-220; 3.3-225; 3.3-235; 3.3-815; 3.3-825; 3.3-910 ;4.3-110; Table 4.4-1; 4.7-105; 4.7-140; 4.7-180;
4.7-190; 5.1-120; 5.3-115; Table 5.4-1; 5.13-100 Through 5.13-140; 5.14-110; 5.15-120; 5.15-125; 5.16-120; 5.20-120;
5.20-140; Section 6.1-110 Downtown Exception Area, Incidental Equipment, and Partition Plat; adding Appendix 3
Master Plans; and adopting a severability clause.
The proposed Ordinance amends the Master Plan review process; the Drinking Water Protection Overlay District and
corrects minor text errors in various SDC sections based upon the reformat project adopted 'by the City Council in
2007. Case Number LRP 2008-00011.
The Springfield City Council will conduct the public hearing to accept testimony on these Code amendments on
Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Springfield City Hall, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield
OR 97477.
A copy of the staff notes for this proposal will be available for viewing or purchase on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in
the Development Services Department, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, OR 97477. You may also view this proposal at

Anyone wishing to testify on this matter at the public hearing may do so by appearing at the,time and place identified
earlier in this notice and providing oral testimony, or by submitting written correspondence to the City of Springfield clo
the Development Services Department, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, OR 97477. The City must receive all written
materials no later than 5:00 p.m. on the evening of either hearing. The City of Springfield accepts fax and e-mail
correspondence. as testimony subject to the same deadlines as conventional correspondence. Written comments and
oral testimony should be directed to the following Code amendment criteria of Chapter 5, Section 5.6-115 of the
Springfield Development Code:
1. Conformance with the Metro Plan;
2. Conformance with applicable State Statutes; and
3. Conformance applicable State-wide Planning Goals and Administrative Rules.
