Here are my revised comments after I caught the mistake in the language for the sign spacing;
Site Plan Tentative DRC2009-00008 Randy McDougall/R. Repair & selice
Address: 244 39th Street
Existing Use: Automotive/Boat Repair Shop
Proposal: Construct new paving, landscaping, etc.
Planner: Lissa Davis, Planner II
Fire Department Comments:
Water Supply: OK.
Landscaping: A 3 foot clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of the fire hydrant
per 2007 Springfield Fire Code 508.5.5.
Access:
1. Provide "No Parking-Fire Lane" signs on one side of the 20 foot wide street per SFC 503.3 and
SFC Appendix 0103.6. Spacing between signs shall be 40 feet or less per ASHTO guidelines.
2. Provide public works lock for the manual gate. A PW lock can be purbhased at Heyman's Safe,
Lock and Security at 131 14th Street in Springfield (phone: 541-747-6713).
