Dear Andy:
SUBJECT:
SITE REVIEW TENTATIVE #DRC2008-00025 EAST & WEST COAST AUra
Tax Map 17-02-32-32, Tax lot 300, 42"d Street & Smith Way / Commercial Avenue
Listed below are our comments for the above referenced development proposal:
I. There is a waterline located in a waterline easement along 42"d Street right-of-way. The plans
show a vegetated swale over our waterline. As long as a minimum of 30" of cover is maintained
over our water line, we have no issue with the swale being located on top of our line.
2. The proposed development is within the Springfield city limits and will receive water service
from the Spri~gfield Utility Bo'aid (SUB):" ." .'i- ",. . . . . .
3. All'~ew'~~t~r syst~m facilitie~ and modifications to water system facilities both-inside and
adjacent to the proposed development shall be placed in street right-of-way at a location and
depth of bury that meets the standards of the SUB Water Division.
4. All water facility materials shall be to a standard that must meet SUB Water Division
specifications.
5. All workmanship shall be performed to meet or exceed SUB Water Division construction
standards.
6. Size of waterline and other facilities, including water meters, must meet the needs ofthe SUB
Water Division and the long-range needs of the City. These needs include, but are not limited to,
meter location and access, sizes of water distribution and transmission lines, pumping facilities,
and communication lines.
7. Please ask the developer to contact the SUB Water Division for detailed information on the
materials and construction standards, detailed costs for installing SUB water facilities, and a
schedule of construction. Construction expenses may be reduced with good planning of required
water facilities, good timing of facilities installation, and joint trench opportunities.
. I' .
8. All water meters will be placed in public right-of-way at a location identified by the developer.
Each lot or parcel must have its own water service.

chemicals, petroleum products, fertilizers, and the prevention of groundwater and stonn water
runoff contamination.
