HOPKINS Steve From: Sent: To: Subject: MCEACHERN Clayton Thursday, June 25, 2009 11 :35 AM HOPKINS Steve fire station at jasper The actual station site is not in city limits (as you are probably aware) but there is adequate sanitary sewers on two sides of the site so service shouldn't be a problem. The site does slope at 7% to the north which might have some design challenges for something like a firestation (but certainly not a deal breaker). There are no improvement agreements on the property currently. Soil is 73-linslaw loam. Somewhat poor drainage with a water table at 2' or so by the lane county soil survey. Infiltration schemes to take care of stormwater may not work well here (although they may also work jf done right or local conditions or different from soil survey). I realize this is probably way more than you need. Clayton McEachern, PE Civil Engineer City of Springfield, Engineering Division Ph (541) 736-1036 Fax (541) 736-1021 cmceachern@ci.sprinafield.or.us 1
