RE: DRC2009-00023 Springfield Fire and Life Safety (57th Street)
The segment of Bob Straub abutting the .57th Street Property LLC parcel has indeed been annexed by Springfield,
however the road has not yet been surrendered. Accordingly, that segment of Bob Straub is still a County road. I hope
this answers your question. If not, feel free to contact me. Sincerely,
Mark

RE: DRC2009-00023 Springfield Fire and Life Safety (57th Street)
Thanks Mark. I also have a question. Is the portion of Bob Straub that fronts this site in county jurisdiction? It looks like
the ROW was annexed, as well as the parcel. Is this how is appears to you?

New fire station
Comments from Lane County Transportation Planning:
The subject property is located near the intersection of Bob Straub Parkway and 57th Street in Springfield. The parcel,
which has frontage on both Bob Straub Parkway and 57th Street, contains an existing residence and a barn. The
applicant is requesting a development permit for a new fire station to be located on the 1.5 acre subject parcel. The
development permit is being sought, in part, to qualify for a 5 million dollar FEMA grant for construction of the fire station.
Access to the proposed fire station is from 57th Street according to the applicant's site plan. 57th Street is a City of
Springfield facility along the subject property's frontage. Access to the proposed fire shall in no case be taken from Bob
Straub Parkway. No further comments from TP. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposal
