MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL REGULAR MEETING OF
. THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL HELD
`' TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2011
The City of Springfield Council met in special regular session in the Council Meeting Room, 225
Fifth Street, Springfield, Oregon, on Tuesday, January 11, 201.1 at 7:32 p.m., with Mayor
Lundberg presiding.
ATTENDANCE
Present were Mayor Lundberg and Councilors Ralston, Wylie, Moore, and Pishioneri. Also ,
. present were City Manager Gino Grimaldi, City Attorney Joe Leahy, City Recorder Amy Sowa;
and members of the staff.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE -
The, Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Lundberg..
BUSINESS FROM THE CITY MANAGER
1. Springfield Council Members -Oaths of Office.
During the May 18, 2010 Primary Election, Christine Lundberg received the majority of votes for
the position of City Councilor Ward 1; Hillary Wylie received the majority of votes for the
position of City Councilor Ward 2; and Marilee Woodrow received the majority of votes for the
_ , position of City Councilor Ward 5. ,
Section 27 in the Springfield Charter states, "Before assuming his or her office, each City officer
shall take an oath or shall aff rm that he or she will faithfully perform the duties of the office and
,~ support the constitution and laws of the United States, the State of Oregon and the City of
Sprin~eld. "
Christine Lundberg was appointed to the position of Mayor of Springfield following the
resignation of Mayor Sid Leiken, and took the Oath of Office on December 6, 2010. The Oath of
Office would. be administered to Councilors Wylie and Woodrow during tonight's Regular
Meeting.
City Attorney Joe Leahy administered the Oath of Office to Councilor Wylie for her re-election
to the position of Ward 2 Councilor, and to Marilee Woodrow for her election to the position of
Ward 5 Councilor.
Councilor Woodrow joined the rest of the Council at the dias as the newest member of the
Council.
