NATURE OF THE APPLICATION
APPROVE A VARIANCE REQUEST TO REDUCE THE REAR YARD SETBACK OF 30 FEET,
MAP NUMBER 18-02-05-22, TAX LOT: 800, JO.NO. 96-01-08.
1. On January 19, 1996, the application was accepted:
City of Springfield - Jo.No. 96-01-08.
2. The application was initiated and submitted in accordance with Article 11 of
the Springfield Development Code. Timely and sufficient notice was of the
public hearing, pursuant to Section 14.030 of the Springfield Development,
Code, has been provided.
3. On April 16, 1996, a public hearing on the request for a variance was held.
The Development Services Department staff notes, staff report (refer to
criteria SDC 11..030) and recommendation together with testimony and
submittal of the persons testifying at the hearing have been considered and
are part of the record of this proceeding.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of this record, the variance request, Jo. No. 96-01-08 shall be approved. This
general finding is supported by specific findings of fact and conclusions in the attached
staff report (Attachment: "A" Staff Report and Findings- Jo.No. 96-01-08) and attached
hereto.
ORDER
It is ORDERED by the Planning Commission of Springfield, the Journal Number 96-01-08,
that variance be granted, Map No. 18-02-05-22, Tax Lot: 800.
THIS ORDER was presented to and approved by the Planning Commission on April16,
1996.

APPROVE A DISCRETIONARY USE REQUEST TO APPROVE CONSTRUCTION OF AN
ELEMENTRY SCHOOL ON A VACANT LOT, MAP NUMBER 18-02-05-22, TAX LOT: 800,
JO.NO. 96-02-18.

City of Springfield - Jo.No. 96-02-18.
2. The application was initiated and submitted in accordance with Article 10 of
the Springfield Development Code. Timely and sufficient notice was of the
public hearing, pursuant to Section 14.030 of the Springfield Development
Code, has been provided.
3. 'On April 16, 1996, a public hearing on the request for a discretionary use
approval was held. The Development Services Department staff notes, staff
report (refer to criteria SDC 10.030) and recommendation together with
testimony and submittal of the persons testifying at the hearing have been
considered and are part of the record of this proceeding.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of this record, the variance request, Jo. No. 96-02-18 shall be approved with
conditions as stated in the staff report and findings. This general finding is supported by
specific findings of fact and conclusions in the attached staff report (Attachment: "A" Staff
Report and Findings- Jo.No. 96-02-18) and attached hereto.
