We found the following: 1. The structure consists of a conventional 6x6 pole-framed, metal sided struciure with manufactured trusses and crushed fock floor. 2. The concrete piers extend approximately 6" beyond the edge of the poles, indicating an 18" diameter bore. 3. Working a 112" diameter steel probe diagonally into the soil surrounding several piers revealed an incompressible material of the same diameter as the pier top, to a depth of about 30", where our probe met refusal. 4. The owner states that he had the holes bored bet\yeen 3' and3-1!2', and. backfilled with 'co',',""':",':' "'rI~ ""~ut ;';-'~l..jr(.....,th. :1~"U"........t,.,o"'; th.... ....~~~~v<;)t;on ;n.~nPr. tiO!1 W"S no' r~qlll'red ............. Based on items 2, 3, and 4, we conclude that the concrete pole embedment is 18" in diameter, and at least 36" deep. \. TRANepORTATION CIVIL eURVEYINGI ./
