Instead we'd prefer to run that wlin the PUE as shown. I'm confident we can come up with a nicer landscape treatment in any case, and will keep you apprised on this and some other adjustments we are considering (e.g., accommodating an abutting neighbors request for fencing, etc.). We did remove the old shed that bordered the south property line which is leading us to think about possibly doing a different kind of boundary treatment (maybe clad chainlink with landscaping instead of a solid wood fence, given that the old shed was tagged twice on the south side). If keeping the laurel hedge is desired, an alternate routing of the water line through the property - using the former driveway alignment for instance - also could be an option. It is my understanding that individual service lines can run directly to the structure and don't necessarily have to follow the PUE alignment along the property frontage. Something to consider at least. Andy From: Farrington, Phil rmailto:PFarrinoton(QIoeacehealth.orol Sent: Friday, July 24, 2009 11:05 AM To: LIMBIRD Andrew Cc: rachel@adhomes.com; dave@adhomes.com Subject: Birth Center landscape adjustment Andy, Just to let you know of a minor adjustment that will be necessary. Our approved landscape plan showed a portion of the existing laurel hedge remaining on the northern/northwestern portion of the site's street frontage. But it is located just behind the sidewalk r.o.w., and within the proposed 7' PUE. SUB Water came out to identify where their sleeve for water service connection crosses the street- approximately at the NW corner of the site. However, for them to run the water line extension within the PUE and provide service as shown on the approved plans, the remaining laurel hedge will have to be removed. We'll be conferred with our landscape designer later in the project to identify what landscape treatment will go in its place, and provide you with proper documentation for your files. Apparently through the development and review of the SPR we all missed the conflict between keeping the hedge and extending the water line within the PUE, but since this associated with interior landscaping I don't think it should make any appreciable difference to the prior approvals. By the way, we will be working with SUB to have the PUE location(s) properly documented and recorded. Following recording I'll send copy to you for your files. Please confirm that this approach is okay, and if you have any questions please let me know. 1/:l'I/;po, , 1 Elate Received: Planner: AL . .
