In accordance with Condition of Approval NO.4 of the Type I Floodplain Overlay Staff Report and
Decision for the PeaceHealth Birth Center, dated 9/2/08, the "applicant shall provide an elevation
certification confirming the finished floor elevation is at least 434.8 feet." This memorandum
provides certification by KPFF that the as-constructed Lowest Finished Floor Elevation (FFE) for the
Birth Center is above the required minimum building elevation of 434.8 feet.
The Birth Center FFE is 43S.79 feet, as surveyed by KPFF Consulting Engineers on 2/11/10. The
vertical datum for the surveyed elevation is the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929
(NGVD29). Elevations were reduced to the City of Springfield Benchmark No. 424, located at the
east end of Mallard Avenue south curb, 10 feet east of driveway to house #451. The benchmark is a
square cut in top face of curb and has.a published elevation of 441.50 feet.
